Silver Meadow hit the jackpot this week and found a foster home with 5 other greyhounds! Her trip to her new home was full of new experiences. A nice lady picked her up at the kennel and they went straight to Red Bandana for a Rub-a-Dub session so she'll be looking her best when you come to see her!
Things about Meadow that would make her a wonderful addition to your family:
A good car rider, but we're still learning how to hop in the car. With a little help and encouragement, it won't be long and she'll have this mastered.
She's good at going down the stairs, but we're still practicing going up.
Walks well on the leash. On her first walk of the neighborhood, she was very confident. Passing cars, bikes, lawn mowers, people talking, the roaming cat, and a few barking dogs didn't bother her at all.
An EXPERT stuffy reorganizer! She's emptied the toy bin twice (over 40 toys) and has started on the collar box. With practice, she might just be a wonderful 'delivery' dog! She LOVES toys and can entertain herself quite well given a few extra toys.
She's one of the most beautiful Black greyhounds I've seen. Soft, thick, furry black coat and the cutest white tip on her tail.
She is naturally curious and snoops in all of the dark cubby areas in the house. She does the same outside. She might just be looking for kitties, but so far, she hasn't found any.
Meadow takes correction well. A clear 'ack ack' will redirect her in another direction. She is learning to leave the cats alone. She is very curious about the cats, but is learning to walk the other way when she hears her correction.
She gives big, wet, sloppy kisses on command. Obviously her trainer spent a lot of time with her. She is very loving and wants to be around people.
She's learning to sleep through the night. We've only had one accident in the house while we were waiting our turn for everyone to go out. She has started to whine to let us know she needs to go out.
She's a SLOW eater. We have 5 gobblers at our house, and she slowly licks her food from her bowl - dry food. No choking hazards here.
She's hoping you'll fill out your adoption application and make an appointment to see her. She will make a great companion for someone staying at home as she wants to be with her people as much as possible.

Silver Meadow is still the ever polite lady. She does enjoy a good romp every now and then just as most hounds do. She's a terrific lady. She's alert but calm and well mannered. Someone will hot the jackpot when they adopt her.
